| Philosophy, Functions and Goals | Woodridge College has evolved a philosophy of education which affirms that education is a life-long process of the “bringing-forth” – the actualization of the limitless possibilities of the person; that the school in our age is a phase of the process of growing of a person and is the formal facilitating of the individual's learning; that learning is the change brought about in the life of a person to an experience; and that encounter which is the meeting of persons in the context of respect and acceptance is the necessary condition for learning. The school commits itself to provide an atmosphere conducive to learning characterized by intellectual and artistic stimulation, open and congenial inter-personal relationship and a child friendly environment. It facilitates and monitors innovative teaching strategies and encourages interdisciplinary approaches to learning. Qualified, dedicated and effective administrators, faculty and school personnel sustain these processes in adequate, well maintained and updated facilities. Opportunities for pupils/students, faculty and staff development are created to promote physical, psychological, professional and spiritual growth, tapping not only local but also international resources.
